I am one of Carl Calleman's biggest fans, have read every one of his books in English print. This is a phenomenal excursion into the study of the 'Psychedelics'. These substances have been used extensively in many cultures as tools during ritual healings and today are proven to be beneficial non-addictive therapies when used in micro dosing sessions in optimum settings. Studies have shown that entheogens ameliorate and help cure the cognitive dissonance associated with mental illnesses. The author explains the observable chemical biologic mechanisms with which psychedelics operate once inside the human brain. For many years current research modeling from noted organizations such as MAPS and pro Cannabis groups have also shown the connection between consciousness and our overall well-being. . Calleman is a brilliant thinker and researcher with a love for Maya cosmology. His hypothesis that synchronizes macro Quantum theories as they relate to Maya calendar systems is noteworthy. Apparently ancient cultures were advanced in practical use of mind-expanding herbs, acting as a vehicle to enter portals then bring back information keys that aid healing and deeper understanding of ourselves and the universe. As a lifelong advocate of psychedelics, I have learned from many therapeutic sessions that these substances will provide abundant positive applications for us today when we understand why they work the way they do. I highly recommend this book for anyone already familiar with this subject or that just has an interest in researching the beneficial qualities of psychedelics.
